These heroes are manipulative, violent and unrepentant. Heathcliff shows his manipulative nature when he allows Isabella Linton to fall in savor with him, he tells Nelly, she abandoned them under a delusion, showing he was fully aware of her feelings and utilize them to his advantage, employing them as a tool in which he could gain control and ownership over both properties Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange.His displays of violence are prominent throughout the novel, beginning as a young male child and developing into adulthood.
